Healthy Homes Training

The Southwest Center of Pediatric Environmental Health in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 6, will be providing a one-day Healthy Home workshop in Alexandria, Louisiana. This training leads participants to an understanding of the connection between housing and health and how to take a holistic approach to identify and resolve problems that threaten the health and well-being of residents, especially children. Curriculum identifies root causes of health problems that are influenced by the indoor environment and focuses on the seven key elements of a healthy home: keep it dry, clean, pest-free, ventilated, safe, contaminant-free and maintained.
